Vetting Committee
Vetting Committee
The Vetting Committee is the key communication channel between the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and the members of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and the Representing Committees of Regional and State Parliaments.
When the plenary sessions are convened, the committee serves the administrative business such as attendance and leaves of parliamentarians. Moreover, the committee cooperates with regional and international organizations to protect human rights of parliamentarians, support legal aids, make the list of detention and imprisonment and records of human rights violations against national and regional MPs by the military junta.
Additionally, the committee reports to the CRPH regarding unlawful seizing, destroying and auctioning houses and property of the MPs by the military junta in order to recover their loss and protect them in line with local and international laws.
The committee works together with local and International support groups to help parliamentarians who have difficulties for accommodation and those who have been arrested.
