The Fourth Session of Union Parliament
On 18 April 2022, the 4th Session of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw was virtually held and 282 MPs of the Pyidungsu Hluttaw among 446 elected parliamentarians from 2020 general election were present.
A group of observers and guests including Cabinet Members of the National Unity Government (NUG), Ambassadors and diplomats of international embassies, organizations, parliamentary bodies and parliamentarians, parliamentary development partners and specialist were also present in the session.In the fourth session of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, MPs and guests took part in a minute’s silence to honor the fallen democracy defenders who made the ultimate sacrifice, giving their lives, in the past and current struggles.
Later, the Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw H.E. U Aung Kyi Nyunt, Acting President of the National Unity Government (NUG) H.E. Mr. Duwa Lashi La, Union Prime Minister of the National Unity Government (NUG) H.E. Mahn Win Khaing Than delivered speech on the occasion of One-year Anniversary of the foundation of the National Unity Government at the opening.
The Report of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and the Reports of 17 different ministries of the National Unity Government (NUG) were submitted to the Hluttaw and were recorded by the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw.
