The Public Affairs Committee is facing with fund raising in such difficult time, but is keeping continues its support work to the public officials who participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement, a very peaceful movement against military illegal coup in Myanmar.
The support is operating with the funds of the public donation, and the incomes of advisements of the Ahlu Shin Application and the Spring Legends YouTube channel and, the urgent and actual needs are prioritized.
The support mainly focuses on the three categories of healthcare, childbirths and livelihoods, however, house transfers, deaths and detained cases are also under the support work. The committee contributes 100,000 MMK for those who have emergency needs for health care and childbirths, and 50,000 MMK for livelihoods.
Since January 2022 to the present, 150 million in Myanmar kyat has been contributed for over 2500 people by the committee.
The first platform for fund requests comes from MPs of national and regional parliaments on behalf of CDMers from their constituencies and community. Another platform is a direct contact from the CDMers via messenger of the Ahlu Shin’s Facebook page where have double checked by the cooperation with elected MPs and CDM Focal Persons for each ministry.
In order to be wider and effective support for CDM public officials in need, the committee is closely working with the relevant ministries of the National Unity Government.
