Statement on the United States’ sanctions on the Ministry of Defense and two state-owned banks under control of so-called State Administrative Council of illegal Military Junta

1. The Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) thankfully welcomes the imposed sanctions on illegal State Administrative Council-controlled the Ministry of Defense and two state-owned banks, Myanma Foreign Trade Bank (MFTB) and Myanma Investment and Commercial Bank (MICB) for their atrocities against the people of Myanmar.

2. We urge again the international community to continue your supports to stop the import of arms, military materials and aerial fuel, to impose more sanctions on all financial revenues where provide financial resources to procure arms, military materials and aerial fuel, to put more diplomatic and economic pressures on so-called State Administrative Council which is killing the Myanmar’s people everyday in order to control the country with weapons after unlawful coup, and cooperate in the implementation for justice regarding military brutal atrocities.

3. We strongly believe the international community has fully understood that the military juntas, the root causes of Myanmar’s prolong conflicts in decades, must be ended in order to able to establish a new federal democratic state as the people of Myanmar are working for this hope. We reaffirm to keep forward our commitment to end the current conflict as soonest as possible and not to emerge conflicts again in the country by cooperation with other revolutionary and political forces in Myanmar.

4. The lasting peace and stability to Myanmar will certainly be achieved by the support and cooperation with the legitimate representatives of the people of Myanmar, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), the National Unity Government (NUG), the Ethnic Revolutionary Organizations (EROs) and other democracy forces. Therefore, we strongly urge the international community to provide the effective and practical assistances to cease the current crisis and to embrace a peaceful future for the people of Myanmar.
