Statement regarding on military aerial attack on the Music Celebration in Hpakhant, Kachin State

1. The terrorist military launched the targeted airstrikes with three fighter aircrafts at the Music Celebration for the 62nd of Kachin Independence Organization in Hpakant, northern Kachin State on 23rd October 2022 and at least 50 people including the famous Kachin Singers and Artists were reportedly killed and many were seriously injured. We were shocked by this inhumane attack and offer our deepest condolences and sympathy to those victims, their families and all Kachin people.

2. The terrorist military led by murderer Min Aung Hlaing has committed the operation of killings to democracy activists, human rights workers and protestors and ethnic forces who against the terrorist military junta. Moreover, the happened cases have shown the systematic and targeted attacks to civilians by military junta.

3. Later the aerial attack on the school in Depeyin of Sagaing Region, the military terrorist group also launched such air strikes in Chin Stae, Kayin State, Rakhine State, Sagaing Region and Kachin State and has continuously committed the crimes against humanity and war crimes such as burning homes, arbitrary arrests and inhumane massive killings to local villagers of the Sagaing and Magway Regions.

4. The people of Myanmar who are trying to cease military regime and to restore democracy, are facing several attacks and cruel violations by the military junta with the lack of taking responsibilities by the international community to protect our people and actions on the terrorist military for their international crimes. Hence, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) condemn in the strongest term on all targeted attacks on civilian by the terrorist military and, deeply urge the international community to cooperate with us to protect the lives and basic human rights of Myanmar population and to take actions to those responsible for these crimes.
