Resolution on urging the National Unity Government and respective revolution forces to strengthen the strategic coordination and cooperation between political forces, revolution forces and ethnic revolution forces to keep up the current political momentum and military momentum for growth to prevail in the Spring Revolution, as soon as possible, with the objective of eradicating the military dictatorship and to establish the Federal Democratic Union

1.  The current People’s Revolution is the revolution which the entire ethnic population is decisively involving and making their contribution in each sector in order to build the Federal Democratic Union after eradicating the military dictatorship that is common goal. At the time of three years of People’s Revolution, many achievements have been received due to hand-in-hand efforts by the respective revolutionary forces and continued support and participation by the entire ethnic population in the country and at abroad.

2.  The goal of the entire ethnic population to establish the Federal Democratic Union will be implemented quickly only if the military groups that have seized state power and committed the atrocities can be first eradicated. There is a special need for the strategic cooperation among political, revolutionary and ethnic forces in order to able to eradicate the military junta as soon as possible.

3.  The Pyidaungsu Hluttaw delightedly welcomes “the Joint Position Statement by Allied Organization Engaged in Revolutionary Struggle toward Annihilation of Military Dictatorship and Establishment of a Federal Democratic Union” issued on 31 January 2024 by the National Unity Government and the respective revolutionary forces to implement unitedly as a coordinated force for the victory of the current revolution as soon as possible.

4.  The Pyidaungsu Hluttaw thankfully acknowledges all entire ethnic population, the heroic CDM government officials, new generation and young students, supporters in the country and at abroad, the People Defense Forces, the ethnic revolutionary forces including 1027 Operation of 3 Brotherhood Alliance and 1111 Operation of Kayah /Kareni brothers who are strongly participating and supporting in this People’s Revolution until the present. The Pyidaungsu Hluttaw also salutes and honors the heroes who have lost their lives, parts of body in this revolution and the past struggle for democracy.

5.  We appreciate the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, European Union, Australia, and Timor-Leste for constantly support in the efforts to restore democracy in Myanmar by imposing sanctions on the terrorist military council and stopping cooperation, as well as the Inter-Parliamentary Union, European Parliament, the ASEAN Parliamentarians for Human Rights, international parliaments and parliamentarians for standing with us. We are also grateful the world’s countries and organizations including the United Nations and ASEAN for their efforts to solve Myanmar’s situation.

6.  The Pyidaungsu Hluttaw,

a.  Strongly condemns the violence that continuously perpetrated across the country by the military junta including the unlawful coup.

b.  Keeps oppose all attempts by terrorist military groups to seize state power by any other ways, including attempts to gain legitimacy by conducting sham election.

c.  Urges the respective revolution forces including the National Unity Government to strengthen the strategic coordination and cooperation to keep up the current political momentum and military momentum for growth in this People’s Revolution.

d.  Calls upon the United Nations, ASEAN and the world’s states to cooperate for providing effective humanitarian assistance to the people of Myanmar including the Rohingya and to immediate release of the unjustly detainees, including Civilian Government leaders and elected representatives.

e.  Calls upon the international community to increase pressure on the military junta in possible ways such as political, economic and diplomatic ones for the soonest end of atrocities as well as to take legal actions at the International Criminal Court for their committed crimes.

f.  Calls for the international community to provide financial and technical assistance to the democratic forces as soon as possible to implement strongly the civilian administration at a time when the resistance has gained significant results against the illegal military junta’s council.

7.  This resolution was approved in the second day meeting of the 6th Plenary Session of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw which was held on 2 February 2024.
