CRPH’s Chairman received a call with Dr. Noeleen Heyzer, Special Envoy on Myanmar today’s morning

U Aung Kyi Nyunt, Chairman of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw – CRPH received a call Dr. Noeleen Heyzer, Special Envoy on Myanmar of the United Nations Secretary-General on this morning at 0800 AM MMT through video conferencing.

In the discussion, both sides shared and exchanged views on the situation of Myanmar regarding the facilitation of humanitarian assistance to those people in needs and at IDP camps, finding an inclusive solution in order to lead a return to civilian rule, concerns on the ongoing crisis and violations, about political prisoners and their release, and relevant areas which should be supported by the international and regional community.

After the brief presentation on the work of the CRPH, the overview and highlights of the work of Special Envoy were also shared before the discussion.

The Meeting was also attended by Daw Phyu Phyu Thin and Mai Lamin Htun, CRPH’s Secretary members, Chairperson of the Legal Affairs Committee, Dr. Khin Soe Soe Kyi, Chairperson of the Public Affairs Committee, U Lama Naw Aung, Chairperson of the Federal Affairs Committee and Daw Myat Thida Htun, Chairperson of the International Affairs Committee.
