The Commemoration Ceremony of 75th Anniversary of Martyrs’ Day which was jointly organized by the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw – CRPH and the National Unity Government – NUG , was successfully held as national event today.
In this special ceremony, H.E. Mr. Duwa Lashi La, Acting President of the National Unity Government(NUG) and Head of State, H.E. Mahn Win Khaing Than, Union Prime Minister of the National Unity Government (NUG) and Head of Government, H.E. U Aung Kyi Nyunt, the Chairman of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and Speaker of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, Joint Secretary (2) Pado Saw Hla Tun from Karen National Union – KNU, Mr. Teddy Bauilat Jr., Board Member of ASEAN Parliamentarians for Human Rights, Dr. Lian Hmung Sakhang from Interim Chin National Consultative Council –ICNCC, Khuu Htal Buu from Kareni State Consultative Council – KSCC, Mi Kon Chan, Member of Mon State Consultative Council – MSCC, Dr. May Win Myint from National League of Democracy (NLD) Party, Lama Naw Aung from Kachin People Party and Robert Gnereh from Kareni Democratic Party were delivered the commemorative remarks respectively. At 10:37 AM, attendees of ceremony paid tributes to the fallen Martyrs National Leaders on 19 July 1947.
In the end of the ceremony, a video presentation about the biographies of Myanmar’s Martyrs Leaders were displayed.
Cabinet Members of the National Unity Government (NUG), elected parliamentarians from the national and regional parliaments, representatives from the political organizations and parties, diplomats from embassies, representative offices and organizations, guests from international and local organizations were presented at the ceremony.
